10 Dumbest Decisions In Zombie Movie History
9. The Biker Distracted By The Blood Pressure Machine - Dawn Of The Dead (1978)
George A. Romero's original Dawn of the Dead may be arguably the greatest zombie film of all time, but it also boasts one of the most spectacularly stupid characters in all of undead cinema.
During the famous sequence where the bikers breach the mall and start toying with the zombies - already an extremely bad idea - Romero lingers on one of the pack who has become transfixed by a blood pressure machine.
The sombrero-wearing doofus fails to notice the zombies closing in on him until it's too late, at which point he's promptly ripped apart.
The scene is hilarious and underlines the film's generally satirical takedown of the soulless mall experience, full of sensory distractions as it is.
Even so, imagine being so obsessed with a blood pressure machine of all things that you're unable to spot a ravenous undead mass zeroing in on you.
At least if it were Pong or something that might've made more sense...
