5. Han And Leia Have Split Up
This is another example of how J.J. Abrams is unlikely to mess around with established Star Wars canon. The beloved original Star Wars trilogy featured the star-crossed romance of the cocky smuggler Han Solo and the smart aleck politician Princess Leia. They got together, and the fans were pleased. While there is dramatic potential in the idea of splitting them up, I cant see a lifelong Star Wars fan like Abrams buying into the idea that the unlikely lovers created by George Lucas didnt stay together in the years following Return Of The Jedi. Opposites attract, and these two clearly had quite a connection. Were sure that Han and Leia have had some turbulent times in the last three decades, but when youve destroyed two Death Stars together, you can probably work out a few petty squabbles here and there. The theory that theyve split up is probably just looking for trouble where there is none. The Force Awakens has enough plot to cover without throwing in a galactic divorce settlement, after all.
