5. Imperial Walkers
The Moment: The rebels are evacuating after their base has been discovered on Hoth. To stop them, the Galactic Empire employ the use of giant four-legged AT-AT walkers.
Why it's Dumb: Overlooking the fact that using ground vehicles to stop the rebels escaping is an insane decision, given that they can simply fly off into space (which in an equal act of insanity, they don't anyway), it just seems bizarre that slow, clunky four-legged elephant machines are not considered obsolete by the resourceful empire in an age when space travel is an everyday occurrence and planet-destroying technology is a thing. The only weapon the walkers use appears to be laser-firing tusks which have terrible aiming and rotational capabilities, making the rebels escape in theory far easier than is justified by the length of the battle.
