3:10 To YumaThe Dilemma: Dan Evans (Christian Bale), is a crippled, poor farmer down on his luck. Evans is paid to escort a criminal, Ben Wade (Russell Crowe), to board a train headed for Yuma, yet Wade offers Evans more money to simply cut him loose. Let him go and get a nice windfall, or stick to your moral fiber? The Solution: Dan successfully escorts Wade to the train, though ends up shot dead by Prince (Ben Foster), leaving his son without a father, while it is implied that Wade escapes on the ride to Yuma. How It Should Have Been Solved: If only Evans had taken the pay-off, he would have lived to see his son become a man, and would have probably been able to prop up his farm nicely with that cash. I mean, who's going to be shocked that the local cripple couldn't escort a violent felon to justice? Just take the money and run...
