10 Easter Eggs You Didn't Notice In Marvel Phase 2

1. Paul Newman's Spaghetti Sauce Cameo - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

One of the more eccentric, difficult-to-spot and hilarious easter eggs in the MCU to date appears in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, when Alexander Pierce goes to his fridge while talking to The Winter Soldier. For a split second, we can see inside the fridge cabinet, and in clear view with its label pointed perfectly towards the camera is, you guessed it, a jar of Newman's Own's delicious spaghetti sauce. To younger viewers this will mean absolutely diddly-squat, but more knowing cineastes will naturally appreciate it as a reference to the fine cinematic partnership Redford (who plays Pierce) shared with the late Paul Newman, particularly in the movies Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid and also The Sting.
