10 Easter Eggs You Didn't Notice In Marvel Phase 2

5. Fin Fang Foom Reference - Iron Man 3

It's clear that the folks at Marvel Studios are fans of Fin Fang Foom, an extraterrestrial dragon who is one of Iron Man's biggest and most powerful enemies. Foom makes a cameo appearance of sorts in Iron Man 2, appearing on a billboard, and prior to the release of The Avengers, was widely speculated to be the mechanical dragon monster featured at the end of the movie, even if that turned out to be completely untrue. Foom makes another appearance in Iron Man 3, referenced by Aldrich Killian's dragon tattoo on his chest (though that's a bit of a stretch, in fairness), and then in more concrete terms, when Tony is investigating the Chinese Theatre attack, and a holographic picture of a dragon resembling Foom appears. We can only cross our fingers and hope that Foom might finally be used in a future Iron Man movie (if that even happens) given how much he's been hinted at throughout the MCU so far. If not, it's just plain teasing by this point.
