10 Embarrassing Superhero Movies Hollywood Wants You To Forget

8. Steel (1997)

SteelStarring: Shaquille O'Neal You could be forgiven for not knowing that this comic book adaptation actually existed, but I can assure you it does. Starring the basketball star as John Henry Irons, the golden-hearted action hero who DC introduced following the Death of Superman storyline in 1993. He was one of four heroes introduced to fill the super-sized hole, and the worst by some distance, and the film actually went some way to making him an even worse character. O€™Neal, who was cast entirely for his size, apparently starred as Irons, a weapons designer for the military, who builds a super suit with a giant hammer (giving him the opportunity in the film to utter the immortal line "it's hammer time!") to fight crime. It was as rubbish as it sounds, and from a budget of $16 million, the film took around $2 million at the boxoffice. But the "good" news is that Shaq is set to appear in the upcoming Grown-Ups sequel. http://youtu.be/qP8d6W2lThM
