10 Emotional MCU Scenes That Made You Cry

“I am Iron Man” is the last line we heard from the first MCU movie ever made. An improvised phrase from Robert Downey Jr. that worked as the perfect cap off to a fantastic film.

For fifteen years, Tony continued to fight crime as this superhero. Some moments were great, others not so much. But through everything, he never forgot who he was.

Then Thanos came and took everything from him. Five years passed, and all he could do was try to move on, try and pretend that none of it happened. But no matter what he did, it always came back to him.

Ant-Man gave him one last chance to fight, one final massive war against the destroyer of half of humanity to settle the fate of the universe.

It was a struggle, but after grabbing the Infinity Stones from his gauntlet, Tony stared down Thanos and proclaimed who he was to the world one last time.

This is the moment that has gone on to define the MCU. It was a moment so decisive, emotional, and perfect that nobody could genuinely put into words how they felt the moment they watched it. It made all of us cry. But at the same time, it worked as the perfect send-off to the character that started this fantastic franchise.
