10 Ensemble Movie Casts Who Did AWESOME Work In Awful Movies

Not exactly reaching the same heights as previous MCU ensemble offerings, 2021's Eternals felt unquestionably epic but still couldn't escape being ranked as one of the poorest critical performers the Marvel universe has thrown onto the big-screen to date.

Ambitiously trying to juggle a seemingly never-ending collection of new heroic faces to get to grips with and a grand story spanning thousands of years, Chloé Zhao's introduction to the likes of Sersi, Ikaris, and the rest of the long-time protectors of Earth definitely wasn't everyone's cup of tea. Though it still came equipped with one of the strongest ensemble performances in recent superhero history.

Kumail Nanjiani packed on the muscle and effortlessly did much of the comedy heavy-lifting as Kingo alongside his wonderful valet Karun, played by Harish Patel.

Gemma Chan anchors the sprawling picture with a commanding performance as Sersi, torn between Richard Madden's Ikaris and Kit Harington's Dane Whitman.

And Angelina Jolie, Barry Keoghan, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Lauren Ridloff, and Don Lee all produced some rather captivating moments of magic in what often felt like a 156-minute battle for meaningful screen-time.

Eternals II doesn't look like it'll be happening any time soon, but hopefully this isn't the last we see of these compelling Deviant fighters in the MCU.
