3. Quicksilver Takes Out A Whole Room (X-Men: Days Of Future Past)
20th Century FoxQuicksilver was the surprising fan favourite of the recent X-Men sequel, mainly because of the creativity with which his super speed was illustrated. In his introductory scene, he flits around his bedroom like a restless puppy, stealing wallets and mocking the older X-Men. Later, he gets what turns out to be easily the films standout comic scene when he takes out an entire room of goons and pauses to have some fun while hes at it. X-Men: First Class gave us plenty of funny examples of the perils of adolescent superpowers, but Quicksilvers ability to literally run rings around his opponents makes him the ultimate prankster. He stops to taste the kitchens latest offering, poses the guards like mannequins, and steals a baseball cap, to the sound of 1970s classic Time in a Bottle. Apparently as an afterthought, he diverts several bullets away from his team, then appreciatively watches the carnage unfold, and just like that every child has a new favourite superhero.
