10 Epic Movie Marathons To Pass The Time Right Now

Dark Phoenix may have brought Fox's time at the helm of the X-Men franchise to an ignominious end, but more often than not the dozen movies based on the merry band of mutants should be able to remind you why it reigned supreme as one of Hollywood's most bankable brands for nearly two decades.

Whether you start chronologically with First Class or open things with Bryan Singer's 2000 original, the timeline became so messy and convoluted over the years that it doesn't really matter in the end. The series contains sequels, prequels, reboots, spinoffs and even remakes if you're of the belief that Dark Phoenix is just The Last Stand with a new, and yet somehow even worse, coat of paint.

The Deadpool movies and Logan inject a fresh perspective and some much-needed urgency into proceedings if you can stick it out towards the tail-end of the X-Men's filmography, although by the time the credits roll on Dark Phoenix you may be wondering how they managed to botch the iconic comic book storyline twice. That's if your head hasn't already exploded from the countless plot holes and paradoxes created by merging the two timelines together.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
