2. Star Wars Meets The Raid - Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Although filming officially ended late last year, there still seems to be reports of all-new cast members for J.J. Abrams & Co sure-to-be megahit Star Wars Episode VII. A few weeks ago it was announced that three of the main actors from Gareth Evans The Raid and The Raid 2 have roles in the film. The actors in question are the lead actor Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian (who played Mad Dog and Prakoso in the films) and Cecep Arif Rahman, who played The Assassin and fought in the epic kitchen finale of the sequel. Of course, theres no information as to which characters they might be playing but one cant help thinking that their martial arts background would put them in good stead for a lightsaber battle or two. Let's be honest, Abrams wouldn't bring these guys on to be character actors or to stand around monologuing. On screen, each has proved they can work not only with martial arts but all matter of weapons, so you have to think theyll be in a big standout action scene. But theyre important behind the scenes too. Uwais and Ruhian choreographed The Raid films, so its very possible they were hired both to act and work out a scene. If one had to guess their roles - they're probably working with Gwendoline Christies character in some way. Whatever the case, their involvement is surely going to result in amazingness!
