When it comes to movies about the FF, fans have been a little more than disappointed. The first adaptation was made in 1986 solely to retain the film rights, which meant it had to be made, but never released. This was followed by two big-budget adaptations and while they didn't do completely horribly at the box office, they weren't well received.

Fast-forward to the 2015 reboot simply titled Fantastic Four and fans were met with a movie so horrible, it maintains a 9% 'rotten' rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The publisher even pulled the book from its lineup for the first time in 54 years to separate the comic book from the film. It was that bad.

Marvel Studios has proven itself time and time again with record-breaking movies showcasing their characters. It's high time they took back the reigns on the first family of superheroes and put them on the big screen the Marvel way.

They could easily explain their absence during the events of Avengers: Infinity War by saying they were trapped in the Negative Zone. With that simple explanation, Reed Richards and his team can swoop in, save the day, and launch Phase 4 in a truly fantastic way.
