1. The Real Mandarin

Why He's Awesome: The Mandarin was teased as being the main villain of Iron Man 3, but of course, it turned out that Ben Kingsley's character was in fact an actor named Trevor Slattery, and the "real" Mandarin was scientist Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce).

The All Hail The King Marvel One-Shot once again retconned The Mandarin by confirming that Killian wasn't the real Mandarin either, and that a third, real one, is waiting in the wings.

The comic book Mandarin is an extremely skilled martial artist, can survive years without food or water, is a scientific genius, and possesses ten rings which grant him enormous power, from electricity bolts to the ability to re-arrange atoms.

How Likely Is He?: The Mandarin has most likely had his chance, sadly, and the One-Shot was just a half-baked effort to quell all the fanboy rage after Iron Man 3 came out. He's out there, we just almost certainly won't get to see the character done right. 1/10
