One of the most beloved and celebrated action films of all-time, Terminator 2: Judgement Day is a seminal piece of science fiction cinema that has lost none of its tenacity and white-knuckle thrills, even in spite of each subsequent sequel being a big old stinker.

And yet, despite how universally loved this film is, its Director's Cut isn't as widely seen or as talked about as one might hope, which is a shame when you consider that it contains what is arguably one of the most important scenes in the entire franchise.

Taking place during one of the film's rare quiet moments, this extra tidbit sees Sarah and John Connor taking a brief respite alongside The T-800. Whilst patching up the T-800's wounds, their conversation turns to what it means to be human and ultimately leads to the T-800 revealing that its central CPU is a "learning computer", and if their chip-sets are modified from Read-Only to Re-Writeable, the Terminators can learn and be used as a force for good.

This slither of information entirely changes up the lore of the Terminator universe, offering fans an entirely new perspective on the Terminators that was sadly never explored to its fullest.
