10 Essential Shows You Need To Watch On Disney+

2. Spider-Man (1981)

There are a LOT of Spider-Man television series out there (Disney+ is home to six, and that's not all of them). Spider-Man 1981 might not be the iteration which spawned all the famous memes (that would be the 60s show, which is sadly absent from the streaming service), but it's chockablock with classic episodes and world-class characterisations which the more recent shows haven't been able top.

There are also moments of pure comedy gold. After all, this is the show that gave us Spider-Man posing paint-me-like-one-of-your-French-girls style on train tracks in front of the second best version of J. Jonah Jameson, topped only by J.K Simmons in the Sam Raimi trilogy.

Featuring unexpected yet welcome Marvel cameos such as Captain America and the X-Men, the short 26-episode series is the perfect superhero show to dip in and out of on a rainy day.
