10 Even More Upcoming Movies That Are Already Doomed

1. The Crow

History has shown time and time that remaking a revered property is risky.

However, it's hard to think of any film that should remain untouched more than The Crow, based on James O'Barr's comic. Despite the praise Alex Proyas' 1994 adaptation received, it's marred in tragedy due to the on-set death of its lead star, Brandon Lee. For this reason, it could be considered disrespectful to resurrect this IP solely to make a quick buck.

Over the years, O'Barr's The Crow has inspired three sequels and a TV series, and in 2024, a Crow reboot that nobody asked for will be unleashed upon the world. That project was met with scorn the instant images dropped of the titular character, played by Bill Skarsgard.

Though the star of Andy Muschietti's IT movies is a solid choice, his design for the undead avenger looks like a discount version of Jared Leto's Joker (which already looks like a discount version of the Joker). However, it's the trailer that truly dried up any interest in the picture.

Rather than replicating the tragic grit of the source material, this version is going for a Goth John Wick vibe. Though the original felt unique, the latest Crow feels like another angsty superhero flick. Also, the trailer is the worst kind since it shows the entire story from beginning to end, giving moviegoers no reason to watch the final product.

With the recent announcement The Crow has been delayed, the filmmakers are obviously panicking, and with good reason.
