3. Thinking Of Forrest Gump Whenever You Buy Or Are Eating A Box Of Chocolates
Robert Zemeckis' 1994 tale of a naïve and slow-witted yet athletically prodigious young man from Alabama has quotables for days. Of course you have classic gems like Stupid is as stupid does and Run, Forrest! Run! but you also have quotes that are actually much deeper. The most memorable quote of the movie has to go to a simple analogy that made us all pause for a few moments of reflection. That quote of course being "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." This is actually quite true and rather brilliant. A box of chocolates can take you on a trip from nougat to caramel while life can take you on a trip of heartbreak to joy. Both of these journeys are quite unpredictable.
