10 Exact Moments Actors Stopped Trying

5. "From My Point Of View, The Jedi Are Evil" - Hayden Christensen

Though the Star Wars prequels gave Hayden Christensen his fame and riches, they also might've been the worst possible thing for his career as a serious actor.

While it's easy to assume that Christensen is a merely mediocre actor on the basis of his performances in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, his terrific work in the 2003 drama Shattered Glass clearly demonstrated otherwise.

Sadly, Christensen was clearly worn down by the soulless, green screen-obsessed production of the Star Wars prequels, and by the time shooting on Revenge of the Sith began, he'd given up trying to bring any plausible humanity to Anakin Skywalker.

This is perhaps best typified by the infamous third-act delivery of, "From my point of view, the Jedi are evil." A terrible line, for sure, but one acted badly enough to seemingly seal Christensen's on-screen fate forever more.

In the 15 years since Revenge of the Sith, Christensen hasn't appeared in a single critically acclaimed movie, but rather an increasingly lousy avalanche of VOD action thrillers, even recently starring in one alongside fellow inmate Bruce Willis.

Though it'd be great to see Christensen one day make a comeback with a beefy dramatic role coming totally out of nowhere, it doesn't much seem like anyone wants to roll the dice on him.
