10 Exact Moments Horror Movie Villains Knew They’d Lost

6. Shut Up And Drive - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

One of the most important films ever made, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre set the standards and served as a major influence on so many horror movies through to this very day.

With our final girl Sally Hardesty having watched her brother and their pals all slaughtered by Leatherface, one of the most iconic moments of the picture - heck, one of the most iconic moments in horror movie history - is the precise moment that TCM's big bad realises that his last target has alluded him.

Having fled from the house of horrors home of Leatherface and his family, Sally manages to flag down a passing truck. However, this escape plan doesn't quite go to plan, with the truck driver having to run for his life once he's greeted by the chainsaw-wielding frame of Leatherface.

Fortunately, the horror gods were smiling down on Sally, as a pickup truck soon arrives. Managing to hop in the back of this vehicle, Hardesty laughs maniacally to herself as Leatherface is left howling into the glowing morning sun as he swings his chainsaw over his head.
