10 Exact Moments We Knew Movie Characters Were Doomed To Die

7. Ricks And Upworth Get In The Shower - Alien: Covenant

The second example from the Alien franchise on this list, while you expect a telegraphed death from a writer like Paul W.S. Anderson, it's fair to say everyone expected a bit more from Ridley Scott. However, while Covenant is a rollicking good time, it is surprisingly indebted to a lot of horror tropes.

The biggie being: if you've got time for a shag, you've got time to die.

Late on in the sequel, after a bunch of their friends have died and there's a xenomorph on the loose, two characters decide this is the best time to jump in the shower and start bumping uglies.

Now, not only did audiences know exactly where this was going because part of the sequence was heavily used in the marketing (hey, weird alien sex sells, apparently), but because how could this scenario possibly end well?!

It's admittedly a well done scene, but it doesn't stop you knowing exactly where it's going.
