10 Exact Movie Moments That Killed A Career

2. Ex-Squeeze Me! - Ahmed Best

For Ahmed Best, Star Wars was both a curse and a blessing. Of course, it’s all kinds of cool to have worked within the Star Wars franchise, but Best, much like Jake Lloyd, was one of those to feel the wrath of angry fans of the prequel trilogy.

Those irate sorts lambasted Best’s Jar Jar Binks for being an awful character who was aimed solely at kids. These same people, of course, who grew up on the original three Star Wars movies in which there were so many elements aimed at their own youthful selves.

Voicing and providing mo-capping for Jar Jar, Best’s career went into a major tailspin as he became forever known as “that Jar Jar Binks guy” going forward post-Star Wars. Away from anything Star Wars related, Ahmed Best has only really done the occasional voiceover gig, the odd TV part, or some short films since his ventures to a galaxy far, far away. Much like Jake Lloyd, Ahmed has recently talked about the negative carry-over onto his life of being involved in the Star Wars franchise.

If there’s one moment that serves as the perfect metaphor of many people’s thoughts on Jar Jar, it’s the above clip of an Eopie.
