10 Facts You Probably Didn't Know About Hogwarts
6. Real Life Ranking
Every child, and many adults, across the world have wanted to enter Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, even before the movies brought the place to life for fans.
Now, Harry Potter Studios in Warner Bros London does hold a replica of the school - not for entry but the real model the production crew used for many exterior shots. In Universal parks, many hold a version of the Harry Potter universe for park goers to see inside the castle, with a ride inside along with Hogsmeade, Gringotts, and a rideable train.
Nothing however can come close to the actual school, which was recognised and in the 2008 Independent School's Network, which ranks Scotland's best schools within the country, coming in at a disappointing 36th place. It was later revealed that this was a joke for the fans, but is a great laugh non the less.
In 2018, it was revealed that Loretto School in Edinburgh transformed itself to a Hogwarts replica, in which the students played Quidditch on the grounds (without the flying broomsticks of course), learnt wand duelling, Dark Arts classes, sorted by the sorting hat, and hosted cosplay competitions. What a dream.
