3. Street Fighter
There probably aren't many studios that are keen to reboot the Street Fighter franchise, given that neither of the two attempts thus far have been particularly successful financially, and both have been critically savaged into oblivion. Street Fighter: The Movie was elevated only by Raul Julia's amusingly cartoonish performance as M. Bison ("Of course!"), whereas the more recent Street Figher: The Legend of Chun-Li tried a more serious approach that ended up being no less hilarious (largely thanks to Chris Klein's bizarre is-it-self-aware-or-isn't-it supporting performance). A reboot needs to focus more closely on the game's tournament of fighters, such that we actually get to meet more of the characters this time. Structure the movie properly and this could be great fun, as long as plucky actors are cast in the colourful roles, and the fight choreography is much stronger than it has been in the first two films. Few will be expecting great things from it, so even a merely competent reboot will do wonders for its cinematic cred.
