10 Family-Friendly Movies With Ridiculously High Body Counts

4. The Mummy

Body count: 155 Sneaking in ahead of Pearl Harbour with just two extra dead bodies is The Mummy, Stephen Sommers' attempt at doing an Indiana Jones-style action epic in which Brendan Fraser goes head to head with a powerful Egyptian supernatural force. As with the Indiana Jones movies the deaths are scattered liberally throughout - this is a family-friendly action movie, after all, so the filmmakers know to hit familiar beats and serve up the set pieces at regular intervals. Mostly these are cartoon-style deaths often depicted with a little help from now pretty dated CGI. Brendan Fraser's characte Rick O'Connell certainly has a good run of murder in The Mummy - he dispatches no less than 45 villains throughout the film, considerably out-performing the best that both James Bond and Indiana Jones could muster.
