Nobody has fallen into a more obvious position of "an actor who has resigned themselves to just doing endless movie cameos" - this time as the result of his highly controversial and frankly nutty lifestyle - than Charlie Sheen, who was launched to worldwide attention when he quit his role on Two and a Half Men and broke down in what was perceived at the time to be a hilarious fashion, but probably isn't all that funny in retrospect. So for a while everybody wanted Charlie to come and say funny things in their movies (just for a bit), flooding us with a sea of crazy cameos. Sheen joined Lindsay Lohan (in what must be the saddest scene ever committed to a motion picture) for Scary Movie 5, you'll recall, but let's not forget there were "funny" cameos in several movies before the well-publicised "I'm winning" break down: Sheen was already popping up in Pauly Shore Is Dead, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Due Date. Post meltdown, we were treated to appearances in Madea's Witness Protection, She Wants Me, and a half-actual role/half-cameo in Machete Kills (he plays the President of the United States - OH CAN YOU IMAGINE?)
