10 Famous Actors Who Inexplicably Popped Up In Found Footage Movies

9. Ben Feldman (As Above, So Below)

To his credit, Ben Feldman€™s performance is one of the very few things in Drew and John Erick Dowdle€™s As Above, So Below that even comes close to making anything even resembling a lasting impression. That€™s a shame, since the film€™s premise - a crew of scholars, history nerds, and all-around adventurers descend into the catacombs under Paris in search of the mythic Philosopher€™s Stone, only to encounter all matter of supernatural nastiness - is rife with horror-movie-potential. Feldman plays George, a historical-artist-hipster-dude who spends most of his free time Bansky-ing about Paris, looking for historical artifacts stored in museums or in old churches and then €œbreaking in and fixing them,€ as one of the other characters eloquently puts it. Oh, and he also has a convenient fear of caves. Because in a movie where the main characters spend extensive amounts of time underground in cramped confines, it's a rule that that there has to be at least one character who's afraid of caves. Yet Feldman, through a combination of wry self-awareness, speaking ultra quickly in Aramaic, and being just enough of a contrarian that he still manages to remain likable, somehow manages to make George into a character that€™s way more interesting than he has any right to be.
