10 Famous Actors Who Play The Same Role In Every Horror Movie
7. Patrick Wilson
Sometimes in horror, you need a straight man, someone for whom everything is just too much. This type of character helps anchor the plot in reality and gives an audience someone to empathise with.
Patrick Wilson is the guy for this role, as he has demonstrated in both Insidious and The Conjuring universe.
In the former, Wilson plays Josh Lambert, a father who must work with a psychic to save his son from a demonic alternate dimension.
He first appears as Ed Warren, one half of a husband and wife paranormal investigating team, in The Conjuring from 2013. He has since reprised the role across three more movies.
Both Warren and Lambert are men hopelessly out of their depths when dealing with the supernatural. Even though Warren has more experience, he is still outmatched against the various demons he comes up against.
Wilson's characters are also heavily tied to the idea of family and how he must protect those he loves from the forces of evil. Thankfully, his brothers Owen and Luke are yet to be put in any danger.
That's a joke, by the way, before you all check Wikipedia.
