10 Famous Actors Who Tried A Music Career

7. Scarlett Johansson

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USiLOQFW3X4 Scarlett Johansson's attempts at getting in to the music had something of a stunted start; initially, it appeared that she would be entering in to the world of musical theatre, when she was tipped to take the role of Maria in Andrew Lloyd Webber's revival of "The Sound of Music". When that role was instead decided through a talent show, talk of Johannson's musical ambitions seemed to die off - until 2007, when it was revealed that she was taking a month off to record her debut album. That album would prove to be "Anywhere I Lay My Head", which had an odd track listing regardless of whether it was by Scarlett Johansson or any other artist. Consisting of a random selection of ten Tom Waits tracks and one original song, it was quite quickly panned by most critics. "Falling Down", originally an album track from one of Waits' live albums, was released as the lead single. It's nothing offensively bad, but you'd have to think that the only reason this album saw the light of day might have been because of the name attached to it.
