10. Jada Pinkett Smith

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nHGGAmJCYI Jada Pinkett Smith, best known for playing Niobe in the latter two Matrix films, voicing Gloria in the Madagascar animated movie series and being responsible for bringing Jaden Smith into this world, also had a brief musical career, forming metal band Wicked Wisdom in 2002. Going by the stage name of Jada Koren, Smith was the singer-songwriter, and by 2006, the band had released two albums, having also used her fame to get the band supporting Britney Spears and landing a slot on the 2005 Ozzfest line-up. Wicked Wisdom fizzled out after the second album was released (which inexplicably charted as high as #44), though late last year, Smith announced that she was back in the studio recording more content for the band, now renamed as Wicked Evolution. As for whether the band are actually any good, check out their infamous appearance on David Letterman above, which played more like a parody of a metal band rather than something seriously attempting to insert itself within the genre. Apparently the near-universal derision from the metal community wasn't enough to convince Jada to stick to what she knows. On one hand, props to her for ignoring the hate, but at the same time, sometimes it's best to just pack it in and avoid the embarrassment.
