10 Famous Actors Who Were Forced To Appear In Movies Against Their Will

2. Richard Gere - Movie 43

"It's a comedy anthology," a movie producer tells Richard Gere. "We've already shot a scene with Kate Winslet and Hugh Jackman; we'd love you to get on board, too." "You've done a scene with Kate and Hugh?" Richard Gere asks, his brow furrowed. "That's right," the producer grins. "So, do you want in, Richard? We think this is going to be big. Real big." The previous conversation never happened, though some version of it presumably did. That's the only way that somebody like Richard Gere - and countless others - wound up in the godawful comedy anthology dreck that is Movie 43. And whilst this entry could have probably focused on lots of the actors who ultimately ended up signing on, it's been made known that Gere actively tried to get out of his contract but was forced to appear anyway. Despite his efforts to jump ship, the actor - best known for his role in Pretty Woman - found himself as part of an embarrassing sketch that poised him as the CEO of an Apple-like company as they discuss their new product: the "iBabe." It's all as terrible as it sounds.
