4. Nicolas Cage - The Life Of David Gale
I know the appearance of this sub par film on list that has classic in the title is going to rile up a few people, but I dont care. The Life Of David Gale was a disappointment, with an undeniably groanworthy twist, but at least the ever dependable Kevin Spacey gave a good performance. And it had some properly gawpable production credits. Thats right, Nicolas Cage, a man who adopted a Yes Man attitude to acting projects about ten years ago was behind this film. Who else would back something so hammer-headed in its message? Cage has had a producing career almost as eclectic as his acting; of the handful of movies hes worked on theres no overriding link. David Gale aside hes worked on the meta Shadow Of The Vampire, bleak Sonny and ridiculous Eddie Murphy vehicle A Thousand Words. It feels like a joke about the man rather than the truth.
