5. Michael Keaton - Beetlejuice

BruceWayne If you had told 10 year old me that Beetlejuice and Batman were the same guy, I probably would have laughed you off the face of the earth. Although it's been 25 years since this film came out, no matter how hard I look, I still can't see Michael Keaton in the character of Beetlejuice. He's completely unrecognizable. Considering that in the wrong hands, Beetlejuice could have ended up looking like a theater major's Halloween costume, they did an amazing job. Take a look at any of the Beetlejuice makeup tutorials on Youtube to fully appreciate how easily this all could have gone wrong. In 1989, this film took away the Oscar for Best Makeup, reminding us all that the ghoulish face we grew to love was the result of seriously hard work and commitment.
