3. Thor (Thor: The Dark World)

Thor And LokiTHE QUEST To keep Asgard Safe from its enemies. (Warning - spoilers to follow) WHAT HAPPENS? In Thor, our hero seeks redemption after reigniting the war between Asgard and the frost giants and prevents Loki from having his revenge and taking the throne for himself. Then there was a little film called The Avengers, with Loki up to his galactic brand of 'mischief'. Defeated after a resounding beating from the Hulk, Thor takes his half-brother prisoner back to Asgard. Loki is imprisoned. For an hour at least. You see, he's not all bad and Thor needs him to help defeat Malakeith from unleashing his own galactic Armageddon. And Loki is killed...or is he? WHY DID HE FAIL? If the ending of the second Thor film is anything to go by, then everything he sought to achieve in the first film is undone. Odin has been disposed and Loki, disguised as his father, is now on the throne. If Thor was about how Thor stopped Loki from ascending the throne then Thor: The Dark World is about how Loki got there anyway...
