9. The Elder Wand (Harry Potter)

Sale Price: $10,100

If you don't want to fork out tens of thousands of pounds, you can simply visit the Harry Potter Studio tour in London to gaze upon practically every single prop produced during the making of the wizarding world movies, and while you can't take home anything official, you can always purchase some serviceable replicas from an overpriced merchandise store.

But if you're in the market for the real deal, then it's going to cost you a lot of Galleons. Case in point: the Elder Wand wielded by Harry and Voldemort in the later Harry Potter movies sold for a huge $10,100 (£7,800) at a Premiere Props auction in 2013.

The Elder Wand was a major plot MacGuffin throughout both Deathly Hallows films, and was held by both Daniel Radcliffe and Ralph Fiennes. Disappointingly though, despite being a real prop, the wand cannot perform any spells.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
