While film set accidents can be funny, they can also be deadly serious. Many crew and cast members have died because of them and several of these morbid moments were captured on film and even used in the final film. Actress Isla Fisher faced such a terrifying scenario on the set of the crime thriller Now You See Me.

One scene called for Fisher's character to be locked in a water tank to simulate a magic trick. In the film, she gave the appearance that the trick had failed and that she was frantically trying to escape the cage before a nest of piranha would be released into it. The panic on Fisher's face, however, is very real. Turned out that the tank roof had been improperly sealed before the scene was shot and Fisher found herself trapped in the water.

She was stuck there for nearly three minutes, almost passing out and drowning before the crew realized her desperate movements and expression were not her just being a very good actress, but her begging them to save her life. Fortunately, she was let out of the tank and survived the accident, but the scene of her trying to communicate her panic from behind the glass remained in the final cut of the movie.
