10 Famous Movies That People Still Believe Are Cursed

5. Rosemary's Baby

Roman Polanski's Rosemary's baby is another film that suggests that you should probably stay away from making movies involving the devil. There are many tragedies that have been linked to the film. Before production began, producer William Castle received a hate-filled letter that said that he would die of a horrible illness because of his role in making the film. Castle suffered from kidney failure soon after the film's release and died of a heart attack in 1977. The film's composer, frequent Polanski collaborator Krzysztof Komeda, died of a brain clot one year after the film's release after a freak accident. Rosemary's Baby is mainly thought to be cursed because of the tragic murders of Polanski's pregnant wife Sharon Tate and her friends on August 19th, 1969 by members of the Manson Family. The murders rocked Hollywood and many people tried to link it to Rosemary's Baby because one of the perpetrators allegedly said "I'm the devil and I'm here to do the devil's business" as he entered the house. In actual fact, the Manson Family went to the house under orders from Manson because of a dispute he'd had with the previous owner.
