10 Famous Movies That People Still Believe Are Cursed

6. Superman

The so-called 'Superman Curse' is a result of the misfortune that has befell those involved with the production of Superman adaptations, particularly film versions. The first to experience the supposed curse was George Reeves who played Superman in the television series The Adventures Of Superman in the 1950's. Reeves died in mysterious circumstances in 1959 at the age of 45. His death, by a single gunshot wound to the head, was ruled a suicide but Reeves' fingerprints were never found on the gun, leading some to believe he was murdered. Then there's Christopher Reeve (eerily similar surname) who, after starring in four Superman films, was thrown from his horse in 1995 leaving him paralysed from the waist down. Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane opposite Reeve, also experienced some highly publicised mental health issues and was found wandering down a street in Los Angeles having been missing for several days. There are many others in a long list of people whose lives have taken a negative turn after appearing in Superman. Perhaps the curse was placed on Superman by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster who, after creating the iconic superhero, received some very unfair treatment from DC comics. Or perhaps it's just a big coincidence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k92DU80Yh5w
