10 Famous Movies That Became Too Real

2. King Cobra Terrorises Actual Flight - Snakes On A Plane

Snakes on a Plane found itself spurred into existence when somebody in Hollywood realised that any movie with that title would be inherently awesome. Suddenly Samuel L. Jackson was on board and even though the studio tried to change the name, they couldn't; Jackson threatened to leave the project if they dared touch the title. "It was the reason I signed on, motherf*cker!" he presumably yelled. Snakes could never get loose on board a real flight, of course; that would be downright batty. Except for the fact that it totally did happen in real life once, way back in 2013, when a King Cobra (of all the snakes!) escaped from somebody's hand luggage on a flight from Cairo to Kuwait, where it proceeded to scare the hell out of the 90 people on board as it slithered between the aisles like a total boss. The man who smuggled it on board (awful idea, by the way) was bitten in the panic and the plane was forced to make an emergency landing, whereupon the Cobra was reportedly "confiscated." Where's Sam Jackson when you need him, huh?
