Now, this is where stuff begins to get a little weirder. Certainly a lot more creative. As radical a change as everything in War of the Stars: A New Hope Grindhoused is, that's nothing compared to the crazy amount of work and imagination that went into creating Bateman Begins: An American Psycho. There's a fun internet meme about how similar two of Christian Bale's most famous on-screen roles are €“ namely, that American Psycho - Patrick Bateman and Batman's Bruce Wayne are basically variations on a theme, mentally disturbed rich people who like to enact violence on others. See? Fun.

But not quite enough for one Adabisi, who goes a step further by turning American Psycho and Batman Begins into one film. Oh and also footage from The Machinist, The Dark Knight and even a blast of that aforementioned infamous on-set meltdown Bale had whilst filming Terminator Salvation. Cos boy did he sound crazy.

Somehow combining all of that source material into one cohesive narrative actually works, as Bruce Wayne trains himself to take down the corruption in Gotham City (whilst under the guise of stockbroker "Patrick Bateman"), only to have a psychotic break and start murdering loads of people.

Not Batman, no murdered parents, no gadgets or supervillains, just a rich dude with good intentions going off the deep end and slaughtering a lot of people whilst listening to Huey Lewis. It's bonkers, and brilliant, and we have no idea what to make of it.
