1. Return of the Jedi Gets A Sequel
No film is going to garner as much attention and curiosity, however, as J.J. Abrams' impending Star Wars movie, Episode VII. Given how poor George Lucas' prequel trilogy was on the whole, the injection of a fresh new vision is certainly fascinating, though some remain concerned that Abrams may end up homogenising the Star Wars product by giving it a similar aesthetic to his Star Trek movies. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are expected to return to their respective roles of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo, while presumably some young blood will be brought in to serve as their proteges or successors. Even if the film isn't
great, it surely won't be any worse than Lucas' three efforts recently, especially with a scribe as talented as Michael Arndt writing the screenplay. Clinging to our nostalgia for the original trilogy, this is liable to be a massive financial success, and if it's actually
good to boot, then that will be hugely encouraging moving forward with this sequel trilogy. Which 2015 film are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments below.
