2. The Boat Actually Sank And So Did The Film Crew

Back in 1975, films didn't have crazy budgets and fantastic gadgets that helped keep everything running smoothly. The stunts were often very real, and filming on the ocean ups the ante.

When filming the final boss battle with Bruce and our three central protagonists, the crew almost had to say goodbye to two of their Panavision cameras along with a whole day's worth of footage. Luckily the crew were speedy enough to save the cameras and quickly got them into a bucket of fresh water in an attempt to save the film from any saltwater corrosion. The film was rushed to Kodak and developed soon after. The cameras were not saved, but luckily they managed to save themselves from another pushback on the schedule and did not have to repeat a day of filming.
