10 Female Superheroes Who Deserve Their Own Film

7. Squirrel Girl

Wait€ come back! I know what you€™re thinking. Either €˜who the hell is Squirrel Girl?€™ or €˜who in their right mind would make a film about Squirrel Girl?€™ Both points are valid, but hear me out. The cinematic Marvel Universe has always had a sense of humor and with the news that Paul Rudd has been cast as Ant-Man, it€™s clear that Phase 3 will have laughs aplenty. Who better to star in a follow up comedy than a super hero who can climb trees and talk to squirrels in their own language? Squirrel Girl will have to be played for laughs of course but don€™t underestimate her. In the comics, she€™s defeated both Doctor Doom and Wolverine€single handedly. That bitch got game! Should Be Played By: Jena Malone It€™s tempting to cast a comedian in a role like this but I think that Jena Malone has both the talent and the sass to carry off such a ridiculous character, playing her completely straight.
