10 Most Ferocious Beatdowns In Movie History

2. Casino

Reuniting with his co-writer (and author of the source material) Nicholas Pileggi, Martin Scorsese's Casino stars Robert De Niro as Sam "Ac" Rothstein, an ace gambler called in by the Mafia to oversee their operations in Las Vegas in the late 1970s. De Niro certainly delivers a powerhouse performance, but once again it's Joe Pesci who comes out on top in the violence department as mob enforcer Nicky Santoro, based on the real life mobster Anthony Spilotro. Unlike in Goodfellas, however, Pesci is on the receiving end of the deadly beatdown in Casino - dragged into the cornfields along with his brother Dominik, they're beaten to the brink of death with a hailstorm of baseball bat blows before being buried alive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RkWhJAFEss
