The Film: Snatch The second film to secure Guy Ritchie's unique style and take on extravagant British crime dramas. In a story rich with unsavouries and likely-lads, two petty criminals get involved in high stakes, bare-knuckle boxing. On their first outing, their golden boy fighter is beaten embarrassingly by a thin and wiry gypsy, played by Brad Pitt - and then cue the usual Guy Ritchie shenanigans in all their eccentric glory. The Character: Mickey O'Neil "It turned out that the sweet talking, tattoo-sporting Pikey was a gypsy bare-knuckle boxing champion... which makes him harder than a coffin nail." If there's something scarier than a gypsy bare-knuckle boxing champion, it's one who's fighting for his sweet old ma. Add to that his unwillingness to do anything by the book or by halves for that matter, and his uncanny ability to end fights with one punch definitely solidifies his position here. Despite his smoking between rounds and his less than healthy-looking lifestyle, he has the freakish, unnatural talent of a red-blooded gypsy fighter. Maybe his number one advantage is being underestimated - but if you find yourself in a barn at the back of a field and squared up to Mickey O'Neil, do no such thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG_Nwp0wZc0
