4. The Ice Age Series

It was a toss up between this and Dreamworks' Madagascar series, but to be honest the really lazy fourth entry and the lack of love that seems to go into the Ice Age films means that they have earned their position. The series has been one extended overstuffed story of a family trying to survive in troubled times, when all we really care about is the adventures of Scrat and his frugal attempts to obtain the nut he so desperately seeks. What should have been a charming series of Wallace & Gromit style shorts has been expanded into four increasingly dire tales about characters we are losing interest in and we weren't really all that crazy about them to begin with. They may not have the heart of Pixar or the soul of Disney, but what they do have are the adventures of a saber-toothed squirrel who takes up five minutes of screen time in each film. Time to put this ailing franchise down before a fifth entry is considered.
