10 Film Podcasts Worth Listening To

6. Filmspotting

Poor Adam Kempenaar. In the seven years Filmspotting has been broadcasting, he has gone through three different co-hosts. Maybe behind his cheerful radio persona lies an evil demanding egomaniac, but that's probably not true. What is true is that Kempenaar, with new co-host Josh Larsen, deliver one of the most famous podcasts out there, and for good reason. Filmspotting is the Godfather of film podcasting, intelligently discussing new releases along with classics and foreign films. Kempenaar has found great co-hosts over the history of the show, and Larsen is no exception. Each episode features the hosts butchering a classic film scene and ends with a Top 5 segment in conjunction with the week's new releases. A nice edition to the show is Michael Phillips, who was recently upgraded from the end of the year show to a monthly guest. You've likely heard of Filmspotting, but in case you haven't, now is a good time to find out why this show is so revered.
