10 Film Reboots And Remakes To Be Concerned About In 2014

Reboots, remakes, sequels----you know how it goes. Really, 2014 will just be another typical year in Hollywood. I don't have beef with any of these kinds of movies, but I cannot help but get shocked at just how many come out each year. The major Hollywood studios waste so much effort in trying to find "the next big thing" by looking at their old library. It's like they ask themselves, "What movie have we made in the last thirty years that can be mined for profit once again?" It's either go with that option or actually take a chance on an original movie. The latter is simply too risky of a move for them these days. This list will only cover reboots and remakes. I have a much bigger article regarding sequels coming later this week. Now, there is a good possibility that some of the films on this list will be good. I am not close-minded to that idea. However, if you follow things close enough, you start to see some bad signs. Hey, some movies and TV shows do deserve the remake/reboot treatment and that's fine. But some don't. Some should be left alone for good. This list has some great examples of both kinds of remakes. A few of these films are reboots of franchises that have died a few years ago, two are based on old TV shows, and the rest are just straight-up remakes. Let's take a look at what's in store for us in 2014.
