10 Films That Cost WAY More Than They Needed To

1. Justice League - $370 Million

Even though Justice League was intended to be Warner Bros.' weapon to compete against Marvel, it was the most unsuccessful film in the DC Extended Universe at the time.

Adding to the disappointment, the film's special effects were bafflingly underwhelming, considering it cost $300 million. Cyborg looks janky as hell. Steppenwolf appears unfinished. Superman's lip IS unfinished! The final battle is cluttered with so much CGI, you don't know what's going on half the time.

Now, in Zack Snyder's defence, many of these issues were resolved when the director reshot his highly praised director's cut.

But even though this cost an extra $70 million, some moments from The Snyder Cut are far from perfect. Not only is the Knightmare sequence superfluous, the special effects look half-done. The green-screen is so obvious, (especially with Deathstroke), you can tell none of the actors are in the same room. The Flash's face has blatantly been replaced with a CGI creation, which gives off major uncanny valley vibes.

When you think about it, it's mind-boggling the visuals are this sub-par when Justice League's budget was twice as high as some of the most expensive films ever made.
