That's right, not even Nolan's beloved Batman films are safe from the Razzie's wrath.

What Batman Begins accomplished cannot be overstated. Just a handful of years after the atrocity that was Batman & Robin, the franchise got a quick injection of cool from one Christopher Nolan, who revamped the character in an innovative yet respectful way. The result was a film that was beloved by critics but didn't do quite as well at the box-office as was expected. Luckily for everyone involved, WB moved ahead with the sequel and the rest is cinematic history.

While that subsequent film still gets praised and revered constantly. Nolan's first film is a bit undervalued. Begins was an astonishing feat that, in one film, took a franchise at rock bottom and redirected it towards one of the highest grossing films of all time.

The cast of Batman Begins is a huge part of precisely why the film works so well. Christain Bale as Batman, Gary Oldman as Gordon, Liam Neeson as Ra's al Ghul, they are all spot-on and deliver wonderful performances. But the red-headed step-child of the cast was Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes and she was who the Razzies set their sights on.

Nominated for Worst Supporting Actress, alongside the likes of Paris Hilton(!), the Razzies attempted to reduce Holmes' role to that of a mockery. And while she certainly isn't the best performance in that film, Holmes did not come anywhere close to deserving this kind of disdain.
